Filling gaps in the community with programs that support youth
Our coalitions use Blueprints for Healthy Youth Development to determine appropriate programs county-by-county, based on risk factors for that area. Blueprints provides a registry of evidence-based positive youth development programs designed to promote the health and well-being of children and teens. Blueprints programs are family, school, and community-based and target all levels of need.
By using evidence-based programs that are tested to be effective, we can make the most of community resources. There are limited dollars available to put programming in place, and we want to put our money into programs that have already been proven to work.
